Hunt Club Farms Horse Trials

What a whirlwind weekend it was at the Hunt Club Farm Horse Trials! Busy, exhilarating, and downright fun! I feel so lucky to have had the opportunity to compete three spectacular horses for their owners. It is an honor to be part of their journeys. A special shoutout to Island Nominee, owned by Jessica Sappenfield, who was an absolute star in the Novice Horse division. Together, we clinched a fantastic 3rd place finish!

The community at Hunt Club Farm Horse Trials was buzzing with excitement, and camaraderie. Thank you so much to all of the show officials, staff, and volunteers who made this event so special!

The spring show season

The spring show season has been nothing short of amazing! The learning and growth I’ve witnessed from everyone have been extraordinary. Each rider and horse has poured their heart and soul into their training, and the results have been outstanding. I want to express my deepest gratitude to my incredible clients and their dedication to pushing boundaries and embracing the journey. The hard work, determination, and unwavering support have made this season truly special. As we look ahead to the summer and fall seasons, I couldn’t be more excited to continue this adventure together. Thank you, barn family, for being part of something truly incredible.

Mars Bromont

Very proud to have been given the chance to compete at Mars Bromont. We knew this competition was a long shot after leaving both our front shoes in Virginia. I’m beyond amazed at the heart my quirky OTTB showed in the large atmosphere. So proud of him! Unfortunately, the lack of shoes and hard ground caught up with us and we decided to retire on course— we will rally for another day!

It takes a village and Zulu and I would not be able to compete at this level without our family, friends, and sponsors. Thank you!

Loudoun Hunt Pony Club

We had a great weekend at Loudoun Hunt Pony Club Horse Trials! I catch rode Rough Heart (in BN who ended on his dressage school of 26.2), and Mousse swam his way through a very wet dressage test. We opted to scratch the rest of the weekend but had a fantastic time cheering on Jess!

Now every volunteer who braved the rain deserves a big hug, and a thank you! Thank you, thank you to all of the people who worked through the downpour so that everyone could continue to compete!

Loch Moy

Another confidence-building fun competition at Loch Moy. Couldn’t be happier with little Lena and her comrade in arms Mango – they were rockstars. Both finished 🥇on their dressage scores.

Hunt Club Farms

This cheeky chestnut earned himself the qualifying score at Hunt Club Farms he needed to go to the @maryland5star this fall (if he’s mentally and physically ready for it 🤞🤞)!! But first he gets all the cookies and a well deserved vacation!!

Soufflé wrapped up the spring season finishing on his dressage score of a 27.2 for 1st 🥇in the Novice division and 2nd 🥈 for the TIP award @huntclubfarms!!

We had some very understandable baby nerves and learning moments, but she overall rocked her first recognized horse trial and first attempt at beginner novice like a total champ!

And of course, baby Cake brought home another second place finish because red has become her favorite color 🤣
